Join us this December as we remember our loved ones together.As Christmas time approaches, many of us look forward to spending time with loved ones, sharing moments and reflecting on those that mean the most to us. Yet for those of us who have lost someone special to us, the festive season can also be a poignant reminder of those we deeply miss.
We are honoured to invite you to our Light Up a Life Service, a special festive event which offers an opportunity to remember and celebrate the lives of family members, friends and loved ones who remain forever in our hearts.
This year’s service will take place at Lanchester Methodist Church on Sunday 6 December 2026 at 2.00pm. Together, we will share carols, readings and a candle-lighting ceremony as we take time to reflect, remember and celebrate those we love. Following the service, light refreshments will be served, offering an opportunity to spend some time together in the welcoming surroundings of the church.

Please note - all dedications must be made before 5pm on Monday 2 November to be included in the printed event programme. Any dedications received after this date will not be included in the printed event programme, however, they will still be included in our Book of Remembrance, which will be displayed at church.
Many people choose to make a donation in memory of someone special, helping us continue to provide vital care and support to local families when they need it most. Every gift, no matter its size, is sincerely appreciated, although making a donation is entirely optional.
