About this Event
Join us for an evening of powerful music celebrating faith, hope, and unity. Lift Every Voice honors Black History Month and the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through the profound beauty of spirituals and gospel music—genres that are foundational to American music and deeply rooted in Black cultural expression.
This special performance takes place at the historic Carver Community Cultural Center, a vital landmark and gathering place on San Antonio's East Side. By bringing this concert to this meaningful community space, we celebrate not only the music but also the resilience, creativity, and spiritual strength of Black communities.
Whether you're familiar with these powerful traditions or experiencing them for the first time, this concert invites authentic connection, cultural appreciation, and shared joy. All are welcome.
Special thanks to our Presenting Sponsor, the Russell Hill Rogers Fund for the Arts.
This production is not a presentation of the Carver Community Cultural Center or the Carver Development Board.
