About this Event
Join us for a relaxed evening of life drawing at Poplar Union, suitable for all experience levels – whether you’re picking up a pencil for the first time or already enjoy drawing from observation.
Our sessions feature a costumed model, wearing thoughtfully chosen outfits with interesting textures, shapes and character. The focus is on observing posture, movement, expression, light and shadow while exploring the unique forms created by clothing and costume.
You’ll be guided through a series of timed poses, giving you the chance to loosen up, experiment with different drawing techniques and build confidence in your sketching.
Date: Wednesday 16 September
Time: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Doors open: 5.45 pm
Location: Poplar Union
All materials are provided – just bring yourself.
Come along, meet fellow creatives, and enjoy a couple of hours of drawing, conversation and creativity in a relaxed setting.
Pay What You Can
We want our creative sessions to be as accessible as possible while keeping them sustainable. Instead of a fixed ticket price, we’ve introduced a pay-what-you-can model, allowing you to choose the option that best suits your circumstances.
- £8 – If you’re on a lower income, are a student, or would simply find a lower ticket price more manageable.
- £12 – If you’re able to pay the standard price, helping us cover the cost of materials, the venue and running the session.
- £15 – If you’re in a position to contribute a little extra, this helps us keep future sessions affordable and accessible for everyone.
Please choose the option that feels right for you. Every ticket helps make creative opportunities available to more people, and whichever price you choose, you’ll receive exactly the same experience.
