Life Drawing at The Muswell Hill Bowling Club
Come and spend a relaxed Thursday evening drawing, having a drink and doing something a little different.
This is a guided but untutored life drawing session for absolutely everyone, whether you draw all the time, haven’t picked up a pencil since school, or are an experienced artist.
We’ll start with some quick, fun warm-up poses to get everyone loosened up, followed by a mixture of short and longer poses with an experienced life model.
Everything you need is provided - drawing boards, paper, pencils and charcoal, so you can simply turn up, grab a drink from the bar and draw. Feel free to bring your own materials too.
The evenings are created and hosted by sisters Gemma and Kellie Waugh, who between them have spent decades working creatively in the film industry.
Gemma trained at the London College of Fashion and has over 30 years’ experience as a professional hair and make-up artist working in film and television.
Kellie specialises in typography and period graphic design and works as a Graphic Art Director in film, bringing her background in art, design and visual storytelling to the evenings.
We wanted to create the sort of life drawing night we’d want to go to ourselves - creative and beautifully put together, but without the formality or pressure of an art class.
Just guidance. No judgement. No pressure.
Creatively serious. Socially relaxed.
