About this Event
Join us at Granton:hub for a relaxed four-week series of untutored life drawing sessions, working directly from a live model in a welcoming and creative setting.
The sessions will run on Tuesdays 6, 13, 20 and 27 October.
Each evening will include a varied sequence of short and longer poses, giving you the opportunity to practise gesture, proportion, line, tone and composition at your own pace. The sessions are untutored, so you are free to work independently, experiment with different materials and approaches, and use the time to develop your own drawing practice.
Regular life drawing is one of the best ways to strengthen observation, improve confidence and keep your drawing skills active. The four-week format is designed to give you continuity and the chance to see your work develop from session to session.
The sessions are suitable for all levels, from complete beginners to more experienced artists. No previous life drawing experience is required.
Please bring your own preferred drawing materials. A range of poses and timings will be organised each evening, with a short break part-way through the session.
A friendly, informal opportunity to draw from life, meet other artists and make regular drawing part of your routine.
