Our Edinburgh Castle Careers Fair returns for its second year as part of Heritage Careers Week 2026.
Come to Edinburgh Castle after hours, from 7-9pm, to meet employers in the heritage sector, colleges and universities, and discover the range of skills and careers it takes to protect Scotland's heritage. From architecture and surveying to creative skills, construction, skills for nature and climate, galleries, libraries, archives and museums, archaeology and much more, understand what options are open to you, learn more about careers and study pathways, and find your place the heritage sector.
Open to young people exploring their career and study options, career changers, and people looking to enter the heritage sector as a career. This event is also suitable for parents, carers and careers advisors.
Attendees must be 16+. Anyne under the age of 16 must be accompanies by an adult.
Parking and access
There is no public parking at Edinburgh Castle. Castle Terrace NCP is the nearest car park.
There are a small number of parking spaces available for ticket holders with accessibility requirements on the Castle esplanade. These are available upon arrival at the Castle, and may also be booked in advance.
The careers fair will take place in the Queen Anne Room, the Great Hall, the Education Room, and Laich Hall. Please note Laich Hall does not have an accessible entrance.
