The course includes practical training in:
• Infant and child CPR
• Using an automated external defibrillator

• Unconsciousness and the recovery position

• Seizures and febrile convulsions
• Anaphylaxis and serious medical emergencies
• Meningitis and sepsis awareness
The required online learning must be completed before attending the face-to-face practical session.
🎓 Qualification and certification
Following successful completion of the online learning, practical training and assessments, learners will receive the QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF). The qualification is valid for three years.

Everyone who attends the face-to-face element of this course will also be offered a FREE annual eLearning knowledge update while their qualification remains current.
This supplementary refresher helps staff revisit key knowledge between formal courses. It does not replace the regulated qualification, practical assessment or required three-year renewal.
