About this Event
October will find us traveling to Concord, MA to paddle the Concord River. We will put in at the Old Calf Pasture kayak launch located on Lowell Road.
Our paddle will begin with a short upriver trip to see the confluence of the Assabet and Sudbury rivers where they form the Concord River. Our downriver journey will take us under the historic Old North Bridge, the site of the “shot heard ‘round the world “ on April 19, 1775, marking the beginning of the Revolutionary War.
We hope to see a bit of colorful foliage as we continue our travels. On our return paddlers will have the option to beach their boats and walk across the bridge and see the nearby monuments.
Navigate to: Old Calf Pasture located on Lowell Road in Concord, MA. Paddlers will need to provide their own boat, paddle and life jacket.
