About this Event
A view from the Dog Bar Breakwater in Gloucester, Massachusetts, looking toward Eastern Point Lighthouse. The long, flat granite blocks of the jetty create a straight path leading to the 36-foot white brick tower and its black lantern room. To the left, the white keeper’s house is topped with a bright red roof and connected to the lighthouse by a white covered walkway. Massive, jagged boulders line the sides of the path, with the calm harbor on one side and the open Atlantic on the other.
Experience the Rhythm of Independence
Join us in the heart of Concord for a special performance introducing a revolutionary new housing model for blind and low-vision adults in downtown Gloucester. Come learn about our mission, share in the music, and see how we are building a more inclusive future.
What to Expect:
- Move: Kick off the night with SHINE, an extraordinary dance ensemble. No experience is required; we'll learn some accessible movement together!
- Reflect: A soulful cello solo by Nancy Hair to transition us into the heart of our mission.
- Connect: Hear the vision behind CALLC (Cape Ann Living-Learning Community) and personal stories about what this new architecture of belonging means for Massachusetts.
- Celebrate: The headlining set by The Capabilities.
Why We Are Here:
CALLC is building a world where support is offered with dignity, capability is assumed, and blind adults can live in their own apartments as part of the Gloucester urban fabric. Your presence helps turn this vision into a reality.
Whether you are a neighbor in Concord or a future friend from the coast, your support helps us lay the foundation for a more inclusive future.
