Lessons from Anxiety: Using Difficult Situations for Growth
“A crisis is a terrible thing to waste” said famously by economist Paul Romer
Anxiety gets a bad reputation, but it's not actually the enemy. Anxiety is an internal alarm system, letting us know something in our life needs attention. We tend to respond by chasing the next fix that will soothe uncomfortable emotions, hoping the feeling will just go away. But if the underlying thing never gets addressed, the anxiety doesn't either. It just bubbles up in different ways and different situations.
This workshop isn't about adding another technique to your list. Instead, we'll look at how yoga lifestyle and yoga psychology approached this exact feeling long before self-care was a trend, and why that ancient framework still holds up today. Sometimes the answer isn't something new, it's remembering what already worked before and was simply overlooked.
End the session on a high note with a delicious plant-based dinner, dessert, and good conversation.
