Stanford-trained neuroscientist and best-selling author Dr. Ben Rein will reveal the fascinating neuroscience beneath our daily connections, showing how relationships shape our health, happiness, and longevity.
Drawing from cutting-edge research, Dr. Rein will explain how the brain processes social interactions, why loneliness is so harmful, and how meaningful connection can literally rewire us for resilience and well-being. Ben Rein, PhD, is Chief Science Officer of the Mind Science Foundation, Head of Science Communication at ResearchHub Foundation, an Adjunct Lecturer at Stanford University, and a Clinical Assistant Professor at SUNY Buffalo. He has published over 20 peer-reviewed papers on the neuroscience of social behavior and is the author of Why Brains Need Friends: The Neuroscience of Social Connection. His science communication work reaches more than 1.2 million followers and has been recognized by the National Academies of Sciences and the Society for Neuroscience.
