Since then, telescopes have evolved in extraordinary ways—some are as large as football fields, some work in powerful networks, and others travel deep into space to capture ancient light.
Join astrophysicist, folklorist, and author Dr. Moiya McTier as she traces the remarkable evolution of our “spyglasses to the stars” and expands your idea of what a telescope can be.
Based in NYC, Dr. McTier has degrees from both Harvard and Columbia, has delivered hundreds of talks around the world, consulted on multiple Disney projects, and advocated for artists’ rights on Capitol Hill. She shares her cosmic insights in her books The Milky Way and Mothers of Invention, as well as on her podcast Pale Blue Pod.
