🧠 Lecture: "The Psychology of Psychopathy"
🎤 Speaker: Prof. Dr. Pascal Wallisch, PhD
Join us for a captivating evening exploring one of the most intriguing and unsettling topics in psychology: psychopathy. Prof. Dr. Pascal Wallisch will guide us through how psychopathy manifests cognitively, emotionally, and socially, unpacking what differentiates psychopathic traits from more typical patterns of thought and behavior.
We’ll examine the neural underpinnings of psychopathy, looking at what brain science reveals about empathy, decision-making, and moral judgment. The lecture will also address how psychopathy develops over the lifespan and how cultural context can shape both its expression and our perception of it.
Pascal Wallisch is clinical Professor of Data Science, Psychology, and Neural Science at NYU Arts & Science and is the most decorated educator at NYU. He has received a distinguished teaching award, a TeachTech award, and five teaching innovation awards.
