🧠 Lecture: "How Doctors Decide: The Ethics of Modern Medicine"
🎤 Speaker: Dr. Priyanka Raju
Every doctor swears to “do no harm.” But behind every clinical decision, that simple promise splinters into ethics, economics, and human judgment pulling in different directions at once.
Join us for an eye-opening evening as OB/GYN physician Dr. Priyanka Raju takes you behind the white coat to reveal how medical decisions are really made: the tradeoffs, the pressures, the hidden costs, and the human beings making impossible choices in imperfect systems. You’ll gain a more nuanced understanding of how healthcare is delivered—and leave with tools to ask sharper questions of the system already shaping your care.
Dr. Raju’s work spans hospital systems across the United States, surgical mission work in Senegal, and research on who gets access to quality medical care—and who is left out. After years watching the gap between what medicine promises and what it delivers, she’s become convinced that the most radical thing a doctor can do outside the hospital is tell the truth about what happens inside it.
