Tetrapak Printmaking Workshop: Create Beautiful Prints from Recycled Materials
If you’ve spotted Tetrapak printing on your feed and been curious to try it for yourself, this is your chance to go beyond the reels and learn the process properly.
In this hands-on three-hour workshop in London, you’ll discover how to transform everyday cartons into expressive printing plates using an intaglio-inspired approach to printmaking. Combining elements of drypoint etching and collagraph, Tetrapak offers a playful, accessible and sustainable way to create richly textured prints.
You’ll be guided step-by-step through the process, including:
- Preparing and carving Tetrapak plates
- Building tone, line and texture
- Designing modular image components
- Planning compositions and visual rhythm
- Inking, wiping and printing using a traditional press
We’ll begin with a simple demonstration to introduce the technique, before giving you plenty of time to experiment, develop your ideas and create your own series of prints with support throughout.
Expect a relaxed, small-group setting with time for 1:1 guidance — no rushing, no waiting around, just space to explore and make.
This workshop is perfect if you’re looking to try something new, develop your creative practice, or learn a sustainable printmaking technique you can continue at home.
