About this Event
Through guided lessons and step-by-step demonstrations, you’ll explore different drawing and painting techniques, learning how to use shading, hatching, colour, light and shadow to create form and bring simple still-life subjects to life in your own artwork.
Please note: the lessons take place in my home, where a friendly cat lives. If you have a cat allergy or sensitivity, please keep this in mind when booking.

20 October 2026 - Workshop 3 : The Grisaille Technique

Info: Explore the transition from drawing to painting through the grisaille technique — creating a tonal watercolour piece before introducing colour. This practical lesson focuses on developing confidence with watercolour materials and learning how to control the flow, layers, and intensity of paint.
Working alongside the tutor, you will practise essential watercolour techniques and apply them to create your own watercolour study.

27 October 2026 - Workshop 4: Exploring Colour

Info: In this final session of the series, we bring everything together and take our first steps into the world of colour.
You’ll learn how to work with a watercolour palette, mix and layer colours, explore transparency and washes, and see how water and pigment work together to create beautiful effects.
