Lauluaika will be playing and singing Finnish Folk music at the Pre-Concert event in the Lobby of Orchestra Hall for two evenings of the 2027 Nordic Soundscapes Festival.
Friday, November 13th: 7:15pm - 7:45pm
Saturday, November 14th: 6:15pm - 6:45pm.
Both Friday and Saturday nights are with Vänskä, Chen and Nielsen. "The flags of Finland and Denmark fly high with the Violin Concerto by Osmo Vänskä's beloved late friend, Jaakko Kuusisto, and the last symphony by Carl Nielsen. At first, Nielsen thought it would be "completely idyllic" in character, a Sinfonia semplice. When it was finished 16 months later, he wasn't sure the name still made sense. Come prepared to discover its complexities."
So come and enjoy listening, singing along, or dancing a waltz, jenkka, or polkka before a beautiful night with Vänskä, Chen and Nielsen Tickets are required for enjoying Pre-Concert events.
