Join Sim Mystry for a family-friendly lantern-making activity celebrating light, colour and creativity as part of Wellingborough’s Festival of Lights. This activity will take place at the Kids Go Play Unit in Swansgate Shopping Centre in Wellingborough.
At this activity, children and families can make and decorate their own diya-inspired lanterns using clean glass jars, colourful POSCA pens and battery-operated LED lights. Participants will also be able to create paper decorations and colourful washi-tape garlands to take home.
The activities will be accessible and suitable for different ages and abilities, with parents and carers supporting younger children.
You do not need any previous art experience—just come along, experiment with the materials and enjoy making something special together to celebrate the Festival of Light.
