About this Event
On June 19, 2026, Haiti will play Brazil in Philadelphia. For Haitians across the diaspora, this moment is bigger than sports. Haiti’s national team has not qualified for this stage since 1974, and their return comes after years of political upheaval and the inability to play home games on Haitian soil.
Woy Magazine and Kontan Creative Studios are joining forces with Pataje Collective to create a block party-style celebration filled with live music, Haitian vendors, artists, food, community organizations, and cultural pride.
This event is for Haitians in Philadelphia, Haitians traveling here for the weekend, and everyone who wants to celebrate and stand in solidarity with Haitian people.
