About this Event
Come lend a hand and tend the land. Join us for another Laguna Stewards Day. This month we will be working around Irwin Creek. Irwin Creek is just down the hill from the Laguna Environmental Center. It is home to one of our old restoration sites and our summer camp. We will be cutting back Himalayan blackberries and replacing old birdboxes.
We will be meeting at the Laguna Environmental Center and take a stroll over to the site. We suggest wearing long pants, closed-toe shoes, and sun protection and bring water and snacks; we’ll bring the tools, gloves, extra drinking water, coffee and snacks. Only heavy rain cancels.
PLEASE NOTE: All ages are welcome! No experience is necessary; tools and training are provided. We will be walking about 0.33 miles on a gentle slope downhill, terrain may be uneven on some spots, the walk to and from the site is in full sun but the project site has some shade
There is no charge for this event, which is made possible by the voters of Sonoma County who fund the work of Ag + Open Space with a quarter sales tax.
