About Field of LightsPizza and painting is a pretty good combination on its own — but what makes this afternoon actually worth showing up for is Arlene. She's got a BA and an MFA in Fine Arts, her whole practice is built around figurative painting, and she's run over 340 of these events, which means she's seen every skill level walk through the door and knows exactly how to bring a painting to life for all of them. We'll be working through Rainy Street together — moody clouds, a lighthouse, wet trees — the kind of scene that looks like it took talent but really just takes someone showing you where to start. I'll meet you where you are, whatever that looks like. Echo Park Pitfire Pizza is the backdrop, so you've got good food and a relaxed room around you the whole time.
