About La Carrera de los Muertos
La Carrera de los Muertos® / Race of the Dead is a 5K fundraising race that began in Pilsen, Chicago, in 2007 and has grown into one of the premier 5Ks in the U.S. Held annually in autumn in Chicago’s historic Pilsen neighborhood, it brings runners and walkers together in person and virtually to celebrate Día de los Muertos / Day of the Dead. The event features costumes, entertainment, and food.
Owned and operated by UNO, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the race raises funds for UNO programming, including GirlsMPowered and RunHer.
