Kwéyòl Moves & Moments
Finding Our Voice – Festive Edition 💛
Learn • Move • Connect • Celebrate
We're back for another beautiful Kwéyòl Moves & Moments community gathering, and I couldn't be more excited to welcome you!
Following the wonderful energy, laughter and connections from our Jounen Kwéyòl anniversary celebration, we're coming together once again for an afternoon filled with language, culture, movement and community.
This time, we're bringing the same beautiful energy with new experiences, a little festive-season joy and a special focus on building confidence when speaking Kwéyòl.
Have you ever wanted to learn Kwéyòl but felt nervous about making mistakes, pronouncing words incorrectly or being judged?
You're not alone, and this gathering is for you!
Whether you're fluent, a complete beginner, reconnecting with your Saint Lucian or Caribbean heritage, or simply curious about the language and culture, you're warmly welcome.
✨ What can you expect?
🌺 Fun Kwéyòl games – Interactive activities to help us learn, practise and laugh together.
💛 Finding Our Voice – Gentle confidence-building activities to encourage us to speak Kwéyòl without fear or pressure.
💃🏾 Traditional dance and movement – An opportunity to explore cultural movement, music and expression together.
❤️ Community connection – Meet new people, share experiences and celebrate our heritage across generations.
🎄 A little festive-season joy – A chance to gather, celebrate and make beautiful memories before the busy festive period.
💛 A welcoming space to learn
You don't have to speak Kwéyòl perfectly to belong here.
At Kwéyòl Moves & Moments, we celebrate curiosity, effort and the courage to try. Mistakes are part of learning, and everyone is encouraged to participate at their own pace.
Our goal is to leave feeling a little more connected, confident and proud of our roots.
