About this Event
KUBA DEREJ TRIO — Live at The Jazz Loft
Experience an evening of original jazz, fresh interpretations of Chopin and American jazz classics with three exciting young musicians from Poland.
Led by pianist, composer and arranger Kuba Derej, the trio features Karol Rakowski on bass guitar and Natan Supeł on drums. Together, they blend the intimacy of a traditional jazz trio with modern expression, adventurous improvisation and youthful energy.
The Programme
• Original music from Seventeen — Compositions from Kuba’s 2025 album, reimagined for jazz trio. Classical technique meets expressive improvisation and cinematic storytelling.
• Chopin through a jazz lens — Fresh, virtuosic arrangements that honour the Polish composer’s legacy while exploring his music in a contemporary trio setting.
• American jazz classics — Selected works from the jazz repertoire, interpreted with the trio’s distinctive musical voice.
