About this Event
Back by popular demand, we're meeting on Karangahape Road in the morning, but this one's really about the alleyways — the murals, the tags, the paste-ups layered over each other, and the small, specific pieces you only find by actually walking into the gaps between buildings instead of past them. K' Road's street art scene is one of the most concentrated in the city, and morning is when it's quiet enough to actually stand and look at it properly.
It's also a community as much as it is a street — long-standing shopfronts, the people who work here, and the mix of old and new that gives the area its character. We'll take our time in the alleys rather than rushing the main strip, and see who and what we run into along the way.
No theme, no pressure. You'll be walking alongside a friendly, easygoing group of photographers, all looking at the same stretch of street and seeing something slightly different in it.
