About this Event
Sipan, born and raised in Hackney, bridges the gap between Europe and his Kurdish heritage in the kitchen. In his own words:
"I've spent much of my career working in Italian restaurants, so I've had a lot of time to draw comparisons between Italian food and the Kurdish cuisine my grandmother cooked for me growing up -- as many of them consist of seasonal, hearty and simple ingredients brought together with time and love. The menu I've created highlights seasonal cooking and a Kurdish twist on Italian classics, allowing me to accent my own culture on the dishes I've spent years cooking. I look forward to sharing it with you".
