Learn how to create this art form that is all the rage!
This Japanese textile art form was invented in the 1980s. Kinusaiga translates to silk picture; the detailed pictures are created by tucking fabric scraps into foam. This art form has become popular worldwide because it requires no sewing. The finished piece resembles a quilt or mosaic.
Fall patterns will be available but feel free to bring your own ideas.
All materials and tools will be provided. You may bring fabric of your own as well. It must be cotton, broadcloth or lightweight flannel. Fabric can not be stretchy or heavy weight. Have a special pair of fabric scissors? You may bring those as well.
Workshop Policy:
Due to the preparation and limited seating involved, all workshop purchases are nonrefundable. If you are unable to attend, we cannot transfer your registration to a future workshop. Please double-check your availability before booking. Thank you for your understanding.
