The Kings of Bass gates open to present: General Levy (UK)
Raised between Harlesden and Wembley, General Levy was writing lyrics by twelve and fronting his own sound system, Third Dimension, by fourteen. Signed to Fashion Records before a deal with London Records took him global, he became one of the defining voices of the UK Jungle explosion of the '90s — his 1994 collaboration with M-Beat, "Incredible," remains one of jungle's biggest anthems, later soundtracking Ali G Indahouse and a national Honda campaign.
His catalogue since spans dub work with Joe Ariwa, a feature on Mark Morrison's "Only God Can Judge Me," and his latest release, a dancehall remix of "Champagne Body." More than three decades on, he's still commanding dancefloors — a rare chance to catch UK MC royalty live in Singapore.
