This event started with a simple conversation with my 13-year-old son.He has been asking for a new pair of soccer cleats. Instead of simply asking us to buy them, he started thinking about how he could earn the money himself.
Then he asked me, “What if I sell some of the toys I don’t use anymore?”
And then came the next question: “Where can I sell them?”
That conversation inspired our Kids’ Toy Market at Beyond PLAY.
We’re creating a safe, fun space where kids can bring the toys they’ve outgrown, set up their own little shop, and sell them for $1–$10.
But the real purpose isn’t just selling toys.
It’s giving kids an opportunity to work toward something that matters to them.
Maybe they’re saving for soccer cleats, a new game, a special pair of shoes, something for their hobby—or even a gift for someone they love.
Along the way, they’ll practice money management, communication, public speaking, negotiation, decision-making, and the value of giving something they no longer use a new life.
And at the end of the day, the money they earn is theirs to put toward their savings goal.

We’re opening only 12 kid vendor tables, so if your child has toys they’ve outgrown and something they would love to start saving for, we’d love to have them join us.
To reserve a kid vendor table, text 786-368-8979 by October 25.
And families—you don’t have to be a vendor to participate. Come shop, support our young sellers, find some new-to-you treasures, and help our kids experience what it feels like to work toward a goal of their own.
