Your Future in Tech Is Up to You: What one year at 42 Madrid reveals about peer-to-peer learning, personal growth and digital talent
- No teachers. No lectures. So how does peer-to-peer learning actually work?
- Can an alternative learning model lead to a recognised qualification?
- Could one year at 42 bring you closer to a career in tech?
- Can 42 fit alongside your degree or your job, and when can you start?
42 Madrid, part of Fundación Telefónica and the international 42 Network, is a free programming campus open 24/7. There are no traditional classes or teachers. People learn at their own pace by developing projects, solving problems and learning from their peers.
Join 42 Madrid at ConnectED Madrid for an eye-opening keynote on how gamified, peer-to-peer learning is reshaping digital talent development and preparing emerging professionals for the real demands of today's tech and AI-driven job market.
In this 25-minute interactive keynote, Teresa from the 42 Madrid team will unpack how alternative learning methodologies build high-demand technical and human skills:
- The Peer-to-Peer Engine: How project-based, teacher-less learning actually works in practice, and why solving challenges collaboratively prepares you better for real-world workplace dynamics.
- Market Recognition: How non-traditional learning pathways translate into recognized qualifications, competitive technical skills, and high employability across the tech sector.
- Career Acceleration: What one year inside 42 Madrid looks like and how it can bridge the gap between where you are today and a career in software engineering, AI, data, or cybersecurity.
- Flexibility & Access: How to fit the 42 model alongside your current university degree or full-time job, who can apply, and practical steps on when and how you can get started.
Who is this session for?
- University Students: Looking to complement their current degree with practical, project-based coding, AI, and software development skills.
- Career-Switchers & Working Professionals: Exploring high-impact pathways into tech without taking on tuition debt or quitting their current commitments.
- Future Tech Leaders: Interested in modern learning models, autonomy, problem-solving, and conscious digital leadership.
