One of Kevin’s most popular workshops is “One Line Premise.” If you do improv, write sketch, or perform stand-up…the One Line Premise workshop will help you expand your skills. Each student is asked to come to the workshop with a one line premise. For example: “What if a guy was $10 short of being a millionaire.”
Kevin will guide the group to take each students premise and hone it into a more complete comedy piece. A new feature of the workshop is that, at the conclusion, Kevin will have each student take their ideas home and finish polishing up their work. They can then email their work to Kevin, who will evaluate their sketch and return it with his personal notes.
Kevin will probably also regale you with more stories about the Kids In The Hall throughout the day. He hopes you enjoy them (or, at least pretend.)
No prior experience is necessary. Just bring something to write with (and on)…and a desire to learn and have fun!
The workshop runs from 12:00pm until 4:00pm, on Sunday, September 27th. The cost of the workshop is $150 (plus service fee.) All payments must be received by the final deadline, in order to be considered registered for this course. Final deadline for registration is Friday, September 25th.
