Kensington Comedy Night is San Diego’s hottest free stand-up show, happening every Saturday at 7:30PM at Mission Brewing Kensington. 🎤🍻 Each week features a brand-new lineup of top comics bringing the laughs, while you kick back with craft beer, hard seltzers, or wine. There’s never a cover charge—just a packed room, great drinks, and nonstop comedy energy that makes Saturday nights unforgettable. <NOTE: This show is usually on the patio unless it rains or it gets really cold, then it will be moved inside.>
At Slap Diego, we don’t just stack names on a flyer and hope it works. Every lineup is hand-picked to hit that perfect mix—rising local talent, nationally touring comics, and headliners who can blow the roof off. And the best part? We’re not a comedy club. That means no ticket fees, no two-drink minimums, and no overpriced cocktails—just free entry, great booze, and nonstop laughs every week.

This is not a regular show.
This is our fan-favorite JOKE SWAP — the show that was a hit at Mic Drop Comedy Club — and we’re bringing it to Kensington.
Inspired by SNL’s legendary joke swap, comics write jokes for each other… and then have to read them on stage. No edits. No safety net. No backing out.
Here’s how it works:
Each comic does a quick set first so you get to know their real voice. Their rhythm. Their vibe. What they’re actually about.
Then the swap starts.
Mazdak Momen writes for Eddie Bennett.
Eddie writes for Mazdak.
Christian Scala writes for Ben Yin.
Ben writes for Christian.
Chris Angell writes for Justin Fox.
Justin writes for Chris.
Geoff Grooms writes for Mike Perry.
Mike Perry writes for Geoff.
That last pair closes the show — built like a headliner showdown.
You’ll watch killers turn nervous.
You’ll watch nice comics say unhinged things.
You’ll watch people laugh and then immediately look around to see if it’s okay.
It’s chaotic. It’s unpredictable. It’s the most fun we’ve had on a Saturday.
