About The Aritsts:
Kelly Austin-Rolo is a contemporary painter and printmaker whose primary focus is working in encaustic and mixed media. Originally from Lewes, Delaware, she received her B.F.A. from Syracuse University and started her career as a corporate designer in NYC working with top architectural firms. After living and working in New York City for 15 years, she moved two hours north of the Big Apple to the rural countryside.
A recent transplant to Denver, Colorado, her work explores the natural world and man-made landscapes and city scapes. Kelly's cyclical process of creation to destruction, back to creation, allows her to play with colors and materials, working their shapes over time, resulting in organic and harmonious forms.
Carrie McCune is a musician (vocals and trumpet) in local Denver band Mama Magnolia. Born and raised in Reno NV, Carrie McCune started dance classes at the age of eight and music classes at the age of eleven. She received a Bachelor’s of Music degree in classical trumpet performance from the University of Denver, and during her degree she began studying kathak dance with Dr. Sarah Morelli in 2013. She helped found Denver’s Sureela Academy and Ensemble of Kathak, now Leela Denver, in 2016. Carrie was honored to debut with the Leela Dance Collective in their Los Angeles premiere of Son of the Wind in 2019 at the Ford Theaters, and is proud to be the manager for the Leela Dance Collective and a teacher and administrator for the Leela Academy.
Patrick Dethlefs (Pronounced “DET-Lefs”) Patrick Dethlefs’ songwriting crests like a humble Townes Van Zandt, innocent of his own haunting melodies and lyricism. Dethlefs’ music offers folk Americana with effortless sincerity at a time when many acts strive purposefully to revive the stripped-down feel of a musical history long past.
“Dethlefs finds poetry in the memories and that slight pain in the laugh lines.” - Daytrotter
