About this Event
In this 3-hour workshop, we will take a walk through the Centre for Wildlife Gardening, read and discuss poems about nature ('ecopoetry'), and practice writing some of our own. We will introduce creative writing tools that harness our ability to notice and bear witness, help us unearth the beauty and strangeness of nature, and ultimately imagine new futures into being.🌱
As always, you don't need to be a writer or a nature expert to take part! Nature and poetry is for everyone, so just bring your enthusiasm 🌟

🌟Meet our Facilitators🌟
This workshop is facilitated by Rooted Resistance, a poetry collective founded by Martha Aroha and Tadhg Kwasi, writers who are active in the climate justice movement.
Rooted Resistance is a project which teaches poetry as an empowering art form to engage with nature – not so that we can escape the reality of ecosystem loss and climate injustice, but so that we are tooled to resist it.
We believe that by tapping into our creative instincts, we can unlock new possibilities for transformation, and regain a sense of agency to build a better planet.
