About this Event
Kate and Zach have been playing music together since the day they met in 2013 in various ensembles including as a duo, various small groups, a 7 piece funk band (Kate and the Nouveau Groove), and 20 piece big bands. Their repertoire and influences range from the Great American Songbook to classic rock groups like Fleetwood Mac and Led Zepplin to soul artists like Sharon Jones and Etta James to modern pop artists like Adele and Corinne Bailey Rae.
Kate and Zach met drummer Michael Bennett soon after moving to DownEast Maine in 2020 and they have been playing together regularly since. The trio played a weekly residency through the 2025 summer, which lead to a great sense of familiarity and allowed them to explore musically as a trio.
The group will be performing a large amount of original pieces, some favorites from the Great American Songbook, and a selection of pop and soul classics reimagined and transformed.
