This FREE event is for juniors aged 8-17. Anyone under 16 should be accompanied by an adult. The Junior Wargaming Club at Angle is a fantastic activity for young people who love strategy, teamwork, and creativity. It provides an engaging way for members to develop critical thinking skills as they plan and execute tactics in a friendly, competitive environment. Through tabletop battles and scenario-based games, participants learn to analyse situations, make decisions under pressure, and adapt their strategies — all while having great fun.
Beyond the games themselves, the club encourages social interaction and teamwork. Members work together, share ideas, and build lasting friendships through their shared interest in wargaming. The inclusive and welcoming atmosphere ensures that everyone, from complete beginners to experienced players, feels valued and supported.
The creative side of wargaming also plays a big part. Painting miniatures, designing battlefields, and crafting narratives around their armies allow members to express imagination and attention to detail. These artistic aspects help develop patience and fine motor skills.
Most importantly, the Junior Wargaming Club at Angle nurtures confidence and sportsmanship. Players celebrate wins and learn from defeats in a respectful, encouraging setting. It’s an ideal mix of fun, learning, and community — making it one of the best activities for young minds to grow both socially and intellectually.
