It's Autumn in Atlanta! Here at Trees Atlanta, Autumn means the start of our tree planting season! We plant trees in the fall and winter so that they can establish their new root structures before it gets too hot and dry. Campers will be exploring how the Autumn season affects the Atlanta urban forest through games, experiments, making homemade paper out of invasive species, and learning about the most famous part of Trees Atlanta’s mission: tree planting! We’ll even end the week with a camp-wide planting project with Trees Atlanta’s finest tree planters! Campers will start off each day biking and exploring the Beltline Arboretum and local parks/greenspaces. -Bike Riding REQUIRED for all seasonal break camp participants.View our full Calendar of Events at treesatlanta.org/calendar.
