This Tuesday at Tiny Music Club, we welcome pianist Julius Parker.Julius has been playing piano for almost 25 years, ever since a friend's jazz playing first pulled him toward the instrument at age 9. That jazz foundation still runs through everything he plays, but his sound moves freely between jazz, hip hop, funk, and soul — shaped by influences like Keith Jarrett, Marvin Gaye, and D'Angelo.
For Julius, music is a place of freedom. He approaches the piano as a way to express his true self, and his original compositions carry that spirit — spontaneous, exploratory, and open to both joy and sorrow.
He'll be joined for a few songs by three guest performers: Claudio - a well-travelled rock and jazz player from Tenerife (Spain) - will be on guitar, Hai - a young jazz guitarist from Hanoi whose musical maturity is well above his age, and Alex Pike - singer and co-founder of Jambox (a music venue in Hanoi)

Julius đã chơi piano gần 25 năm, kể từ khi anh nghe một người bạn chơi nhạc jazz và bị cuốn hút vào cây đàn từ năm 9 tuổi. Nền tảng jazz ấy vẫn hiện diện trong mọi bản nhạc anh chơi, nhưng âm nhạc của anh di chuyển tự do giữa jazz, hip hop, funk và soul — chịu ảnh hưởng từ những nghệ sĩ như Keith Jarrett, Marvin Gaye và D'Angelo.

Anh sẽ có sự tham gia của ba nghệ sĩ khách mời trong vài bài hát: Claudio - một tay guitar rock và jazz dày dạn kinh nghiệm đến từ Tenerife (Tây Ban Nha), Hải - một nghệ sĩ guitar jazz trẻ đến từ Hà Nội với lối chơi vượt xa tuổi đời, và Alex Pike - ca sĩ và co-founder của Jambox (một không gian âm nhạc tại Hà Nội)
