with John Medeski, Kenny Wollesen, Jorge RoederAz 1987-es születésű gitárművészhez, Julian Lage-hoz hasonló tehetségből generációnként legfeljebb néhány akad. Tizenkét éves csodagyerekként már Grammy-gálán zenélt, Gary Burton vibrafonos zenekarában kezdett lemezeket rögzíteni. Első saját albuma 2009-ben jelent meg, és hamar keresetté vált a jazz világában – főleg kimagasló technikai tudása, improvizációs képessége és melodikus játéka miatt. Rengeteg közös kiadványt jegyez John Zornnal, duólemezeket Chris Eldridge-dzsel és Nels Cline-nal, emellett Bob Dylan koncertjein is közreműködik. A Blue Note-nál megjelent saját albumai közül a legfrissebb (Scenes from Above, 2026) turnéján hallhatjuk kimagasló zenészek – John Medeski orgonista, Kenny Wollesen dobos és Jorge Roeder bőgős – társaságában.

The guitarist Julian Lage, born in 1987, is one of those rare talents that emerge only a few times in a generation. As a twelve-year-old child prodigy, he already performed at the Grammy Awards ceremony, and was recording with vibraphonist Gary Burton’s band. His first solo album was released in 2009, and he quickly became a sought-after artist in the world of jazz – particularly thanks to his exceptional technique, remarkable ability to improvise, and lyrical playing style. He has released numerous collaborative recordings with John Zorn, duo albums with Chris Eldridge and Nels Cline, and has also performed with Bob Dylan. Of his solo albums released under the Blue Note label, he is presenting the most recent, Scenes from Above (2026), on tour with an outstanding line-up featuring organist John Medeski, drummer Kenny Wollesen and bassist Jorge Roeder.
