The final event of the 2026-27 cross country race series is the challenging 10 mile race, held over the undulating, multi-lap course in Joydens Wood near Bexley. All runners are welcome to try this super-tough cross country event as it's a great training opportunity for spring road races. Although there may be muddy sections, most of the woodland trails are quite stony, so trail shoes may be better than spikes.Entry is available on the day for just £7 (members of Cambridge Harriers £5) from the Clubhouse, next to 60A Glenhurst Avenue in Bexley, DA5 3QN. Contactless payment preferred for entries (cash only at the woods). Race starts at 1200 noon in Joydens Wood, about a 1.5 mile from the clubhouse, so please allow time to jog or walk to the woods (there will be someone to show you the route). Please be aware that there is no parking close to the start.
Facilities at the clubhouse include parking, changing rooms, showers, refreshments and licensed bar.
Stay and watch the Six Nations rugby on the big screen as it's the opening weekend with Scotland v Italy (kick-off 1415) followed by Ireland v England (kick-off 1645).
