We are all shocked and saddened by the sudden and untimely death of Paul Green, a man who put so much into local music. As the old saying goes "THE SHOW MUST GO ON".Paul had arranged a double header bill of Jo Girdlestone and Graham Corbould and all concerned think it is the right thing to do to push on with the show.
We start the evening with floorspots (10mins each) & Graham Corbould will come on to play his set of around 40mins at 8.00 pm. Then following a short interval we will have a couple more floorspots and Jo will play for us from 9.20.
If you wish to perform, either message Graham Corbould in advance or come early and flag up your intentions on arrival to avoid disappointment. FIRST COME FIRST SERVED! We're open to poets and spoken work in addition to singers, musicians, and, of course, an audience.
There'll be PA available with mics & leads for plugin & play.
The hat collection is in CASH for the guests, with a suggested contribution of £6.50 per head minimum. Please give more if you can afford it. It all goes to the guests.
The CAMRA award-winning bar will be open from 6.15 pm. CARD payments only.
We hope to see a good number of you there and we look forward to your continues support of Live Music at The OLC. Let's keep alive the musical scene which Paul worked so hard to establish. Graham
