Self-styled as a shouty folk/punk singer-songwriter Jess Silk plays to audiences up and down the UK, on the festival circuit, supporting many well known names among the folk/punk scene and as a headliner in her own right.Playing hard-hitting sets to festival crowds is where Jess is most comfortable, and so An Evening With Jess Silk will have her stepping out of her comfort zone and bringing something a bit different. With two full length albums, a stack of EPs and an extensive back catalogue Jess will be sharing perhaps some of her more nuanced work, as well as the usual gig favourites (and maybe even a couple of choice covers!) at a rare seated gig at her spiritual home of Katie Fitzgerald’s in Stourbridge.
An Evening With Jess Silk is a chance to hear Jess talk more about her songwriting and inspirations, and to listen to some of her more subdued, yet equally thought provoking, songs that don’t often get an outing in the hubbub of her usual gigs.
