About this Event
For this residency Jemma and her collaborators have focussed on the ongoing interdisciplinary choreographic project Home Sweet Home, exploring the relationship between lighting, movement and text as a way of articulating ideas of home, memory and belonging.
Working with one dance artist and one creative writer, Jemma will develop a duet that explores how light can function as an active narrative presence alongside the body, shaping emotional and spatial landscapes rather than acting as a purely technical or decorative element. The focus is on structuring material that can exist clearly within a live performance context and be shared as a work-in-progress at scratch nights, allowing ideas to be tested and questioned in front of audiences.
Followed by an audience discussion.
