PIJF presents, Internationally acclaimed duo: pianist Jef Neve (BE) and trumpeter Teus Nobel (NL) as they bring their powerful performance to Perth, following appearances across Europe, Canada, Japan and Australia.
Their deep musical connection – shaped over years of touring together – comes to life through a seamless blend of original compositions and jazz classics from their live-recorded album Esho Funi, the title track of which is inspired by the Japanese philosophy of unity between self and environment, perfectly captures the essence of their interplay – intuitive, expressive, and deeply connected.
Expect virtuosic musicianship, spontaneous musical conversation, and the kind of onstage chemistry that only years of collaboration can create. Add in their wit and storytelling, and you have all the ingredients for a truly memorable night.
