Music lovers,Originated in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, the music festival Jazzzed will be organising its first edition in Berlin from the 10th to the 15th of October.
The following musicians and DJs will be traveling exclusively from Neuchâtel, Switzerland to perform in Berlin for the first time.
T’O (jazz, electronic, avantgarde)
T’O is an enchanting and experimental music duo from the city of La Chaux-de-Fonds located in the Jura Mountains in the canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Formed in 2012, T’O is composed of musicians and visual artists Jean-Daniel Stämpfli and Rie Takagi.
Born in Le Locle, Switzerland, Jean-Daniel Stämpfli studied at the Conservatoire and Art School in La Chaux-de-Fonds and has been participating and recording music as an arranger, percussionist and on keys since the 1980s. Born in Fukushima, Japan, Rie Takagi studied at the Yamaha Music Institution and at the Tama Art University in Tokyo before moving to Switzerland. In T’O, both artists unite their creative senses to construct a musical space of soothing intrigue.
The union of both artists, T’O, signifies the “beginning and the end, the entrance and the exit and all in between”. Weaving the senses of hearing and sight, the sound of T’O promises freedom without leaving the realm of the familiar.

AURELIA IKOR (folk)
Half of the Neuchâtel-based music duo Lélia Lortik, Aurelia Ikor is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who promises a bewitching journey through her musical performance. In an earnest yet ironic tone, Aurelia uses her voice and harp to take the listener into a dreamy and cutting-edge universe filled with vitality and organic rawness. Through her vocal-dexterity as well as mastery of the harp enhanced by the use of pedals and loopers, a range of musical worlds are referenced ranging from Spoken Word and French Chanson to Bossa Nova, Folk and Improvisation. Aurelia’s very personal and hard-to-classify sound positions the listener in a familiar yet very contradictory world of Folk Music.

- SWITZERLAND (jazz, kraut, rock, improvisation)
Switzerland is a group of young and keen musicians from Switzerland who make music on the basis of their love of music. This group of four trained musicians gather their passion for great sounds to perform a musical embrace of the range and depth of each instrument played, wether the keyboard, the drums, electric guitar, bass or synth. A reflection of the group’s musical taste, the listener will recognise melodies, riffs and chords from the past ranging from Californian Hippie-Rock and German Kraut to Spiritual Jazz eventually reaching the spectres of Noise. Of improvised nature, each performance promises to be unique yet magnetic. Switzerland invites all listeners to just sit back, relax and enjoy the journey of pure music.
- LES BONNETS ROUGES + ROVEL (rap, experimental)
Jazzed Djs :Antoine, Palouk, Jose
Antoine, Palouk and Jose are DJs who have been providing Jazzzed with a soundtrack since the beginning. Antoine, originally from Neuchâtel, Switzerland, and Jose, based in Berlin, first met in Granada, Spain in the early 2000s. There, they organised a weekly party ACB (alma con bajo / soul with Bass ) with DJ-sets promising a dancefloor. Today, these three music-junkies who cannot help grow their record-collection with new gems, rare finds or intriguing sounds, take any opportunity to spread and manifest their purest love for music. Their vinyl only DJ-sets reflect the essence of DJ culture with warm grooves ranging from Jazz and Roots, to Soul and Disco, to Hip Hop and beyond. Their sets scream love for good music.
