ZANKÔ: Japansk kalligrafi og improvisert musikkZANKÔ, et prosjekt som forener japansk kalligrafi og improvisert musikk, kommer til Oslo. Her møter kalligrafiens kroppslige uttrykk musikken til den anerkjente norske pianisten Jon Balke, ECM-artistene Shinya Fukumori og Sungjae Son, og trompetisten Shinpei Ruike, kjent for sitt samarbeid med blant andre Otomo Yoshihide.
Sammen skaper de et unikt landskap i møtet mellom lyd og linje, stillhet og bevegelse – et øyeblikk som aldri kan gjentas.
ENG: ZANKÔ, a project bringing together Japanese calligraphy and improvised music, comes to Oslo, Norway.
The physical expression of calligraphy enters into dialogue with music by the renowned Norwegian pianist Jon Balke; ECM artists Shinya Fukumori and Sungjae Son; and Shinpei Ruike, an acclaimed trumpeter known for his collaborations with Otomo Yoshihide and many other musicians.
Together, they create a unique, unrepeatable landscape shaped by sound and line, stillness and movement.
