Jason Schneidermanfollowed by conversation with S. Brook Corfman
Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.
Weinstein Auditorium, Wright Hall, Smith College
According to former U.S. Poet Laureate Ada Limón, “Jason Schneiderman is one of our nation’s best poets” and his latest collection, Self Portrait of Icarus as a Country on Fire (Red Hen, 2024) stands out as “his finest book yet.” Schneiderman’s poems are simultaneously delightful & provocative, humor leading the way into complex conversations about queer life, Jewish identity, politics, and divorce.
Schneiderman’s reading will be followed by a conversation with S. Brook Corfman. Free & open to the public. Books sold & signing follows. Livestream also available on the BDPC YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/live/BReAdMv2MZQ?si=A1_RzYb2JNP2guZ8
Free, open to the public and wheelchair accessible. For disability access information or accommodation requests, call/email Jen Blackburn ([email protected], 413-585-4891). To request a sign language interpreter, email [email protected] at least two full weeks before the event.
