Research Spotlight Series #5 - Rethinking Entrepreneurship: From Research Insights to Future Frontiers
Speaker:
Dr Hina Munir, Lecturer Business, James Cook University (Singapore Campus)
Entrepreneurship is evolving rapidly in response to technological advances, shifting societal expectations, and increasingly complex global challenges. This presentation reflects on insights and contributions from my research journey in behavioural entrepreneurship, including entrepreneurial intentions, cognition, entrepreneurship education, academic entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurial ecosystems. It explores how my research has evolved from understanding individual-level entrepreneurial behaviour toward broader ecosystem, sustainability, and societal perspectives. The presentation also examines emerging frontiers shaping entrepreneurship research, including artificial intelligence, inclusive entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and sustainable venture creation. By connecting research insights with emerging trends, the talk highlights opportunities for future scholarship and meaningful impact on entrepreneurial practice.
