Greetings fellow drummers. As some of you might know, I’ve been teaching World Music and ethnic Percussion at SMU for a long time. Now I’m exited to offer my first community drum class in over 20 years. I invite you to join me in making music together Saturdays at noon beginning October 24 at La Canter Arts Center in Oak Cliff for Intro to World Percussion and Wednesday evenings at 7 PM for advanced students and a jam session at 9. This will be a 6 week program culminating in a public performance with professional musicians at la Cantera Arts. FIRST CLASS FREE. We’re gonna make a music together! I’ll bring instruments from around the world: drums, gongs bells, shakers all kinds of percussion instruments. You’re welcome to bring your own instruments as well or you can use mine first come first serve. This will be an exciting event for me to meet some of my Facebook friends and see old friends again to make music together! I hope to see you there!
