The astounding virtuosity and musical sensitivity of the JACK Quartet, a national new-music treasure, will be on display at the Library in their first in-person appearance in over a decade. Winners of major awards from institutions around the world for their vision and unflagging support of emerging and established composers of our time, the JACK Quartet offers music by living composers by names new and familiar to the Coolidge stage. Known as essential interpreters of the music of Haas and Glass, JACK presents their music alongside new and recent commissions by the ever-dynamic Juri Seo and Gabriela Smith, along with a new piece by the “1-bit wonder” Tristan Perich.
